Antique Elm Six-plank Coffer

A gorgeous antique coffer.

Fabulous grooved detail to the underside of the lid.

Probably made from elm during the 18th century.

In my opinion, the hinges hace been replaced.

Key hole to the front but no lock is present.

One side has a split to the inner side of the plank (not visible on the out side) and the base plank has a split running through the centre length.

Lightly warped lid.

Length is 25" (64cm)

Height is 15½" (39cm)

Depth is 9½" (24cm)
