A fabulous original wooden depot sign for Royal Mail Lines Shipping.
Initially started in 1839 as British shipping company by James MacQueen called Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. Their motto was 'Per Mare Ubique', Everywhere By Sea. In 1927 it took over White Star Line to become the largest shipping company in the world. In 1932 it was liquidated and it's assets taken over by the newley formed Royal Mail Lines.
